Turkish wedding

We were invited to a wedding by Samet and Huryet. Very intersting but how do you dress, what do you bring, how do they do? Many questions but now we now.
At 7 we were picked up by a bus which drove us to Kas. It was a huge building with hundreds of people already there. His cousin took very good care of us and we were seated at the table next to the couple.
So they entered with fireworks. Samet looked very stiff and the bride was covered in a white veil. They sat down at a white throne and then a lady dressed in a red robe with gold came in. She was obviously some kind of official. She asked them a couple of questions and they wrote there signatures in a big book. So they were married.
The music started and the lucky ones danced. Soon everybody were dancing.
After a while it was time for  the presents. The couple had each a white ribbon over there necks and people started to pin money on the ribbons. You could also leave presents at a table.
After a lot of dancing we were taken back to Finike at 11.
A very interesting evening with a lot of nice people.
