Limyra, the capital of Lycia

We walked up the valley to Limyra. People stopped, waved and said "merhaba". Tourists walking here are not a common site. The children said "where do you come from? what is your name?" All of them said this - lesson one in school?
Limyra is 6 km from Finike. Limyra was the ancient capital of Lycia and Finike was it's harbour. It was founded about 2500 years ago. Now there are a lot of ruins; theater, city wall, castle etc.
The old philosopher Kafi Baba is buried here in a small maosoleum.

Returning home, we walked a few kilometers to the town of Turuncova, had a cup of cay(tea) and took the dolmus (small bus) back to Finike.
